Socrates and his buddy Plato were both hot messes found wandering in Hollister. The story of their rescue is one of a fantastic dog-loving community coming together with both resources and time to give these guys a second chance. Plato has found his forever home and now it's Socrates' turn. This 15 lb, 1-2 yr old fellow is a happy, friendly, and loving boy that is most content in his comfort zone at home, but with the help of his loving foster family he's learning about the big, wide world and enjoys slow walks in the neighborhood. Socrates has a sweet, moderate energy level where he enjoys following his people around the house but happily settles in for pets on the sofa when the tv comes on. He's good with other dogs but is really more interested in his people so he could easily be your one-and-only BFF. He hasn't been tested with cats but we think he'd probably be fine with a proper introduction. Socrates' foster mom says that his tail is his best form of expression as it pretty much stays in motion nonstop. He can be lying really still and when you talk to him, he might not move, but the tail definitely does. Plus he has learned that cheese is life!
