Stewart is a Min Pin/ Terrier Mix who is very shy when you first meet him but give him an hour and you will be his new best friend. He plays with dogs of all sizes and does great with them. We have not had him around children but think he would do fine with children that are pre teen- teenager age as long as they are willing to let Stewart come to them initially. Stewart does have a lot of energy so an active home that enjoys hiking, biking, camping or a morning run will be perfect for this little guy. Stewart is what we call a pocket Lab, Meaning he has the characteristics, likes and energy of a lab but at 12 pounds he is perfect for an apartment or condo living.
The love of Stewarts life is definitely his people. When playtime is done he wants a warm lap to lay on. You want to take a nap? Stewart will snuggle right up with you. Stewart can also accompany his people to dog friendly establishments. Because he is initially shy we will look for a family that is dedicated to continued socialization with him so he can gain confidence. Stewart is crate trained and his foster family reports he is well on his way to being potty trained.
