Meet Simba! This sweet boy came to us from the shelter as a stray. It was determined he had sight issues so his only was out was through rescue. He  won the heart of several of the shelter staff with his amazing and loving personality so we were called to help out. We aren’t saying blind dogs are our specialty but with a “Born Blind” CEO (Jake of Jake’s Wish Rescue) the hard-of-sight pooches do have a special place in our hearts. An amazing foster was found and this little guy was given a name and became a Jake’s Wish baby!

Fast forward a couple weeks and we have learned Simba gets around with little difficulty. He gets along with other dogs and could even live with a cat. He is potty trained in his foster home and sleeps in a crate through the night. At about 15ish pounds this little guy is ready to tag along on all your adventures. He is a great copilot and loves the car. When it’s time to settle in for the evening, Simba will be the first to keep your lap warm while you check your social media or binge watch your favorite TV show (Simba recommends “The Crown” on Netflix). 

We did send Simba to the doggie ophthalmologist and they determined his eyes are healthy but unfortunately he will not regain his sight.  Don’t let that scare you though....he is happy and healthy and ready to live his best life with one lucky family.
