Opal and 7 other dogs were rescued from a hoarding-type situation. These dogs were outside, some chained, without food or water in sight. Now in foster care these pups are quickly learning all about warm beds, squeaky toys, and human kindness. Opal does well with new people and loves the attention. She's got a good amount of energy and will be a great companion on hikes, doggie play dates, and other outdoor activities. After she burns off her energy, she enjoys cuddling on the couch. She is currently fostered in a home with a large dog and a cat. Opal can be a bit barky with the cat, but we think with proper socialization she could happily co-exist with a dog-savvy feline friend. Her foster mom calls her the "Queen of Toys" and she loves to play! She's currently working on crate training, potty training, and mild separation anxiety. Opal is about a year old and weighs 20 pounds.
