Rottie lovers are oooing and ahhing as this handsome boy hits their social media feed. Meet Gus! At 8 months old and nearly 80 pounds this guy is a perfect representation of the Rottweiler breed. He lives with other dogs and he does great. He likes nothing more than a game of chase with his canine counterparts followed by snuggle time with his person or persons. Yup Gus loves ALL the people he meets so if he finds a new home with a couple, a family or a solo dog lover he will be just fine. What Gus will need is an owner that knows the breed and is dedicated to structured training classes and continued socialization so he can be the best boy possible. He is off to a great start and has mastered potty training in his foster home and loves his crate for sleeping at night as well as when you are away during the day. Computer cords, shoes and squeaky toys are just too much of a temptation for him so his crate is a good spot for him so he doesn't get himself into "trouble" when you are away.  Gus will make the perfect partner for the adopter that is looking for a side kick to join him on their moderate hikes, weekend camping trips or simply meeting friends at the local pub for a frosty mug and a plate of fries with a side of ranch. Play dates with your BFF's pooch are A OK with Gus. He's just happy to tag along wherever you go and will sit nicely at your side after a romp in the yard with the your besties standard poodle while you cook up the burgers on the grill. Although Gus loves everyone he meets he is a extra large puppy that has no idea how big and powerful he is so we will be looking for a home that is adult only or if there are kids in the home they should be dog savvy and over the age of 10. Toddlers and younger kids are just to easy to be knocked over by this big love bug who thinks he's a 5 pound Chihuahua.  If you are looking for a canine partner like Gus please send us an application to be considered.
